We are looking for an experienced IT Project Manager who will take ownership of DelfinGroup's IT project portfolio — from business-driven initiatives and technical improvements to IT security work and system maintenance. This is a hands-on role for someone who can coordinate multiple stakeholders, resources, timelines, budgets, and risks at once, and who wants to bring structure and predictability to how IT delivers for the business.

Mission

Ensure timely, predictable, and high-quality delivery of IT projects and system improvements — spanning business needs, technical upgrades, IT security initiatives, system maintenance, and bug fixes — by effectively coordinating stakeholders, resources, timelines, budgets, and risks.

Expected Outcomes

First 3 Months

• Get up to speed on DelfinGroup's core IT products, systems, their interdependencies, and the development process

• Take over management of active IT projects: organize the backlog, project plans, priorities, and resource needs

• Establish regular status reporting on progress, risks, and dependencies

• Independently run sprint planning

Within 6 Months

• Independently manage several projects in parallel

• Work closely with the business, IT Product Owners, Architects, System Analysts, Development, QA, and external vendors

• Implement a consistent approach to project planning, progress tracking, and status reporting

• Identify weak points in existing processes and introduce practical improvements to project management, sprint planning, resource coordination, and information flow

Within 12 Months

• Fully independently manage the project portfolio with predictable delivery

• Proactively identify risks early and report clearly to management and stakeholders

• Operate a project management process that is structured, transparent, and data-driven

• Actively contribute to improving project management and software development practices, raising delivery quality, planning accuracy, and IT–business collaboration

Experience & Technical Skills

• At least 3 years managing IT or software development projects, with a demonstrable track record — specific projects, their scope, budget, timelines, and actual results vs. plan

• Experience managing several parallel projects that share the same development resources

• Experience working with external vendors — contracts, work acceptance, resolving delays

• Experience in a regulated industry (financial services, insurance, telecom) is an advantage, where some deadlines are driven by regulatory requirements

• Working knowledge of Jira, Confluence, and MS Office

• Active, effective use of AI and automation tools in daily work — project planning, information gathering, documentation, status reporting, and streamlining other routine processes; able to speak concretely about tools used, tasks applied to, and measurable results achieved

• PMP / PRINCE2 / PSM certification is a plus but not required — a proven project portfolio matters more

• Latvian at a high level (business communication and documentation); English at a professional level (technical documentation, vendors)

Offered salary for this position is starting from 3,000 EUR gross
