IT Project Manger / Product Owner

DelfinGroup is a Latvian fintech company offering accessible, straightforward, and customer-oriented financial and circular economy services. We create added value by integrating financial and circular retail services, making them easily accessible both in person and online.
Mission for the Role:
Own and lead cross-functional technology initiatives that connect business needs with smart, scalable solutions. Serve as the central bridge between business, tech, and users — shaping roadmaps, writing specs, aligning teams, and delivering impactful software projects that move the business forward.
You will turn ambiguous challenges into clear plans and real results, ensuring development efforts are focused on the right problems and executed with clarity, pace, and purpose.
Outcomes:
- Own and lead end-to-end IT and software projects — from initial problem discovery to solution delivery — ensuring outcomes are aligned with business priorities and customer needs.
- Collaborate proactively with cross-functional teams to define, scope, and prioritize initiatives based on impact, feasibility, and strategic importance.
- Translate business challenges into clear, structured roadmaps, milestones, and structured release plans that balance short-term results with long-term value.
- Write clear, technical project specifications and user stories that are actionable, understandable, and ready for development without ambiguity.
- Work closely with development teams to facilitate accurate estimations, effective sprint planning, and smooth execution of software delivery.
- Track and measure project success through well-defined metrics and KPIs, ensuring efforts are directed at solving the right problems and delivering tangible value.
- Actively monitor project progress, identify risks and roadblocks early, and adjust plans with agility to maintain momentum and drive continuous improvement.
- Foster a culture of bold questioning and assumption-challenging, encouraging experimentation and rapid learning throughout the project lifecycle.
- Act as the critical communication bridge between business and technical stakeholders, ensuring alignment, engagement, and transparency across all phases of project delivery.
- Maintain a strong focus on problem-solving and customer impact, ensuring that development resources are prioritized toward initiatives that deliver measurable improvements.
Competencies | What the Right Person Will Look Like:
- End-to-End Product Ownership – Independently leads the full lifecycle of software products from discovery, opportunity validation, and problem definition through to solution delivery, testing, and iteration — taking full responsibility for business and user outcomes, not just project completion.
- Technical Fluency – Produces clear, detailed, and structured project specifications and user stories that enable efficient, high-quality development, ensuring alignment between business needs and technical execution. Works seamlessly with development teams to estimate effort, plan sprints, and deliver solutions, demonstrating sound judgment in assessing technical complexity, risk, and feasibility.
- Planning & Prioritization – Crafts detailed roadmaps, milestone plans, and release schedules while juggling fast-changing priorities. Balances business needs, tech feasibility, and customer value.
- Collaborative Execution – Works closely with engineers, analysts, and designers to refine requirements and unblock delivery.
- Data-Driven Decision-Making: Defines, monitors, and interprets key performance metrics to inform initiative prioritization, identify opportunities for optimization, and ensure continuous improvement based on measurable outcomes.
- Clear Communication – Translates complex ideas and maintains consistent alignment between technical and business stakeholders through clear, proactive communication, ensuring that expectations are managed and objectives are met.
- Problem Solving Under Pressure – Breaks down complex challenges into clear components, uncovers root causes, and designs practical, scalable solutions. Adapts fast and keeps momentum even when plans change.
- Continuous Improvement – Embraces feedback, experiments with new approaches, and continuously adapts strategies based on outcomes to drive personal, team, and project growth.
- Excellent command of Latvian, both written and spoken (C1 level or equivalent).
Fit | Cultural & Experience Match:
- You bring 3+ years of experience in IT project management, software product development, or software delivery roles, working hands-on with developers, testers, designers, and analysts in Agile setups.
- You are fluent with Jira, Asana, ClickUp, or similar tools, and well-versed in Agile, Scrum, and Kanban practices.
- You thrive in dynamic, high-ownership environments where speed, structure, and adaptability must coexist.
- You have a real interest in fintech, consumer lending, e-commerce, or related industries, and are motivated to build meaningful technology in these spaces.
- You are a problem-solver first — you focus on solving the right problems, ask the right questions, and use data and metrics to guide your decisions.
- You understand UI/UX principles, user research methods, and know how to apply A/B testing and experimentation techniques to improve products.
- You quickly absorb technical concepts, communicate clearly across technical and non-technical teams, and bridge business needs with technical solutions.
- You use data insights not only to prioritize work but also to drive continuous product improvement and innovation.
- You plan and structure projects realistically, build clear roadmaps and milestones, and stay focused even when priorities shift.
- You embrace experimentation, learning, and iteration — moving forward without waiting for perfect conditions.
- You show strong personal integrity, ownership, and accountability — you consistently deliver on commitments and earn the trust of cross-functional teams.
